Action for Children in Conflict (AfCiC)
The Action for Children in Conflict (AfCiC) works to break cycles of violence, hatred and despair by providing psychological, emotional, and educational support to the survivors of conflict, not merely to treat the results. AfCiC focuses its activities on children and young people, who have the greatest capacity to transcend the conflicts in their communities and to bring about change in the future. Children offer the best hope for change, and are increasingly amongst the most vulnerable in conflict situations. AfCiC works to create places of safety, both in the UK and overseas, where trained key workers can provide a climate of support and befriending tailored to the needs of young people and their communities.
