Afghan Women and Human Rights Organization (AWHRO)
Established in 1993, AWHRO is working towards the vision of uplifting the living conditions of the people in Afghanistan, by aiding the Afghan people with health care, capacity building and skills training. It is mainly focusing its activities on providing human rights protection and security, including the protection of children in armed conflict. AWHRO manages all its activities through its main office in Kabul, where staff is identifying and assessing security threats and the overall human rights situation in the areas where they work. If problems persist after the evaluation, AWHRO is working with the government to provide security to the affected areas.
