This directory of organisations working in the field of conflict prevention originated with the book series of the European Centre for Conflict Prevention, called Searching for Peace, but has continued to be updated and added to beyond the book series.

Adult Training Center (ATC) - Osh affiliation

The Adult Training Center (ATC) is an NGO with a mission to contribute to the process of democratization in Kyrgyzstan through adult education, including civic education, professional education, and raising awareness on legal issues and inter-personal relations. The ATC is also involved in research in the sphere of adult education. The ATC organizes practical training on conflict prevention and tolerance education for the grassroots activists in Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken Provinces of Kyrgyzstan. In 1997-1998 the ATC tested an approach to early prognosis of conflicts, identification of the causes of inter-ethnic conflicts and methods for their prevention.
