Global Directory of Organisations

This directory of organisations working in the field of conflict prevention originated with the book series of the European Centre for Conflict Prevention, called Searching for Peace, but has continued to be updated and added to beyond the book series.

PLEASE NOTE: We work very hard to ensure our directories are complete and up-to-date, but realise that we haven't included many important organisations out there. If you would like to be included, or to update your profile, please download and fill out the Directory Questionnaire and return it to c.crockett@conflict-prevention.net.

Action in Solidarity with Asia and the Pacific (ASAP)

Action in Solidarity with Asia and the Pacific (ASAP) is a network of activists in Australia building solidarity with and support for movements for social justice, genuine democratization and self-determination around the Asia Pacific region. ASIET was founded in 1991 as Action in Solidarity with Indonesia and East Timor (ASIET) to reverse Australia’s neo-liberal and military interventionist foreign policy in the Asia-Pacific region. Work is particularly focused on areas directly targeted by such policy, including Indonesia, East Timor and the South Pacific. Their goal is to achieve this by promoting and actively building people-to-people solidarity in Australia and to overcome the struggles for democracy by promoting self-determination and economic justice in the Asia-Pacific region.
