Center for Conflict Resolution
The Center for Conflict Resolution
is involved in research, educational and training programmes, active intervention,
networking and advocacy related to conflict prevention, management and resolution.
Based in Uganda, CECORE is mainly active in the Great Lakes Region and the
Greater Horn of Africa, however more programmes are set up in the rest of
Africa as the need arises. It seeks to empower individuals, organisations,
institutions and communities to transform conflict effectively by applying
alternative and creative means to promote a culture of active tolerance, coexistence
and peace. The main activity is training various groups, as well as promoting
peace journalism.
