The Directory that follows contains profiles of 69 relevant key-organisations working with media as a conflict prevention and/or peacebuilding tool. They include local and international NGOs active in this field as well as some government-related organisations. The profiles give a description of the organisation and a selection of its activities and programmes. The icons at the top give an indication on the type of media and peacebuilding tools and practices that are used.
Training/Education (Basic and advanced journalism training, seminars and forums, technical and management training)

By providing this overview of actors we aim to stimulate synergy and networking. We tried to provide all key-organisations active in the field of media and peacebuilding, however we are not claiming completeness. Some are focusing on specific countries or conflicts. Most of them however, are larger (network) NGOs operating internationally while working together with numerous local NGOs. These local and often small organisations can usually be reached trough the different programmes. The given numbers on staff and budget relates to the organisation’s specific activities in the field of media and peacebuilding. The countries/region in which the organisation’s activities are focused are presented above the organisation’s name.
